Midwest 2012 – Bryant x 4

November 27, 2012 ConcertTravel

It’s only three weeks until I’m in Chicago for the 2012 Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic! I haven’t been to Midwest since 2009, so I’m particularly excited return this year and see everyone’s haggard-drank-too-much-last-night-8am-concert-music-soaked visages!

I’m fortunate and honored to have four performances this year, including the USAF Band performing two movements of my Concerto for Wind Ensemble, on Wednesday night! My piece is on their second concert of the evening, but you should really go to both – going to be completely different programs of great music on both concerts). Here’s the full schedule of my performances, below. It includes (literally!) the very hardest and the very easiest works I’ve ever written, with a couple in between. See you at the concerts, and then at the bar?

  • WED. 12/19, 7:30pm: Concerto for Wind Ensemble: III & V, USAF Band (Concert TWO), Larry Lang, cond.
  • FRI. 12/21, 5:00pm: Anthem, Woodlands HS Wind Ensemble, Joni Perez, cond.
  • FRI. 12/21, 6:15pm: Ecstatic Fanfare, Senzoku Gakuen College of Music Blue Tie Wind Ensemble, Jerry Junkin, cond.
  • SAT., 12/22, 8:30am: Interruptions, Wheaton Municipal Band, Bruce Moss, cond.
