This is the inaugural concert of the CBU Wind Ensemble. “Le Sacré et la Profane” is the theme of the concert that will feature both sacred and secular works. We will perform music to celebrate the 500th Anniversary of the Protestant Reformation including a commissioned work by James Stephenson. Secular works will include transcriptions of Bernstein’s “Profanation” and Von Suppé’s “Light Cavalry Overture.” The Wind Ensemble will open their portion of the concert with Steven Bryant’s “Ecstatic Fanfare.”
