The Northshore Concert Band concludes its 61st season with On the Town. This season finale program is a lively juxtaposition of dance rhythms from New York to Mexico that celebrates the bond between the United States & Latin America. The jazz influence of Leonard Bernstein’s On the Town complements the folk tunes of H. Owen Reed’s monumental La Fiesta Mexicana. Aaron Copland, American composer and close friend to Leonard Bernstein for over 50 years, said “Strangeness between people breaks down when they live, work, and meet together as neighbors.” Come experience this sentiment through the exhilarating celebration of the human spirit!

The program also features In This Broad Earth. This work, by American composer Steven Bryant, was inspired by the beauty of nature and, in his words, “celebrates the earth, our only home (for now)”. It is an NCB season finale you won’t want to miss!
