Principal Trombonist of the New York Philharmonic Joe Alessi will join the Ridgewood Concert Band as they open their 34th season. Mr. Alessi will be performing a trombone concerto written for him by composer Steven Bryant. The program will also include Music from “Silverado” (Broughton), October (Whitacre), Rubies based on music of Thelonious Monk (Harison/arr. Martin), and Overture to “Semiramide” (Rossini).
