Hummingbrrd

Hummingbrrd is a happy, lively little piece I wrote over one weekend, primarily as a test drive of a new piece of software, Melodyne. Every sound in the entire piece is from my own voice (I didn’t use any synthesizers, drum machines, samplers, etc.). I’d never attempted anything quite like this before, and found it incredibly fun to do.

I’ve since arranged it for Euphonium solo with electronic backing (iOS and Android apps), as well as Baritone Saxophone (also with the same iOS or Android app). Check below for info on those specific versions.

NOTE: New arrangements for various instruments are forthcoming!

I used Digital Performer 3 and Melodyne, two fantastic pieces of software.
