Join the consortium, led by Arizona State University, for this new work for winds+electronics+potential other elements (lighting, etc.)! This is an extremely affordable buy-in ($250), and will likely be less than the cost to rent the work once it’s released to the public. Please join us in bringing this work to life!
This work will be premiered in February 2019 at the 2019 CBDNA National Conference (February 20-23, 2019), by Arizona State University Wind Orchestra.
DURATION and DIFFICULTY: The duration of the work will be somewhere around 10-20 minutes, scored for standard American wind ensemble (with included European transposed parts for those commissioners that may want them), electronics, and lighting and mixed media effects. The work will likely be multi-movement, so some portion may standalone as a simpler work. I expect the parts will be somewhere around the same difficulty level as Ecstatic Waters. If you are a high school director worried about the playability of the commission, I encourage you to join!
DEADLINE: We currently don’t have a final deadline for joining, but sooner is better than later. Contact us if you have a particular date restriction (budget year, etc.) that you need to work around.
The score and parts will be delivered to all consortium members via email in PDF format shortly after the world premiere in February, 2019, and each consortium member will have rights of unlimited performance thereafter (no further rental fee required), but will not be allowed to distribute, share, sell, copy, donate, nor otherwise allow performances by any other ensemble or institution. Consortium members will have their name/institution listed in the preface page of the work and receive full credit for being a part of this project.
PAYMENT (PO, check, and credit card are all accepted!): Joining the consortium is non-refundable. If you wish to pay via Purchase Order or check, please contact Sarah Meals for the mailing information and/or vendor paperwork. The amount to join is $250. If you wish to use the credit card option below, note that there is a $10 service fee to cover credit card costs.
